Eat, Laugh and Be Healthy is the brainchild of Dr. Deborah Sundlof and her friends and colleagues Drs. Maureen and George Persin. The purpose of this site is to invite you into the doctor's kitchen to see how wives, mothers, husbands and fathers in the medical profession provide a healthy lifestyle for their families.

Each episode focuses on a specific health issue, explaining the symptoms and discussing lifestyle changes that complement medical treatments for the featured condition. Not only will you learn important facts about the featured condition, but you will see how to prepare some wonderful healthy food!

Dr. Deborah SundlofA native of Pennsylvania, Dr. Sundlof was born in Philadelphia, PA.

She completed primary school in Radnor, Pennsylvania, then went on to gain a Bachelor of Arts degree at Gettysburg College, with a major in Psychology.

To follow in her mother's footsteps, she entered the medical field. Her medical degree was obtained at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, provided her training in Internal Medicine.

Dr Sundlof went on to complete a Cardiology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and carries Specialty Certification in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.

She has practiced with Lehigh Valley Cardiology Associates since 1999. Her expertise is in Non-Invasive Cardiology and Women's Heart Disease.

She has been a volunteer with the American Heart Association since 2000, and currently serves as the local Board's President.

Dr Sundlof and her family reside in Bethlehem, Pa. Her family hobbies include: running, skiing, and hanging out with the Persin Family (obviously to eat George's cooking!).

Dr. Maureen PersinDr. George PersinDrs. George and Maureen Persin both graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1992. They completed rotating internships and later completed Internal Medicine Residencies at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA in 1996. George went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at the Hospital of the University of PA. Both are currently practicing physicians.

George is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and carries specialty certification in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. Maureen is board certified in Internal Medicine. She has an office based practice, delivering primary care in a holistic, caring and compassionate manner.

The Persins were married in 1994 and reside in Bethlehem, PA with their three children: George, Kathryn, and Patrick. Both George and Maureen spend most of their personal time attending their children's sports and extracurricular activities. They both enjoy skiing. George loves to cook.
